Dr Vikas Gupta is a highly experienced rheumatologist & immunologist, practising in Ludhiana, Punjab. He holds expertise in managing all kinds of arthritis and rheumatic/autoimmune disorders, including Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Gout, SLE (Lupus), Sjogren Disease, Fibromyalgia, Vasculitis, Scleroderma, Myositis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis and Osteoarthritis.

He is currently working as Senior Consultant, Rheumatology at Fortis Hospital, Mall Road, Ludhiana (Punjab) and has his own clinic (Centre for Rheumatology & Arthritis Care) in BRS Nagar, Ludhiana.

He completed MBBS from Government Medical College & Hospital (GMCH), Sector-32, Chandīgarh and then pursued MD in Internal Medicine from Pt. B. D. Sharma Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak. During his MD training he did a research thesis on Rheumatoid Arthritis. This is where he developed interest in the field of Rheumatology. He pursued DM in Clinical Immunology & Rheumatology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow. He is a gold medallist and is awarded the Prof. R. K. Sharma award for the best DM student across all specialities. He is part of various research projects on Rheumatoid Arthritis and SLE (Lupus) at SGPGI, Lucknow.

After completing his DM in 2018, he joined as Assistant Professor in the department of Rheumatology at DMC (Dayanand Medical College) & Hospital, Ludhiana. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2022 and worked at this post in DMC&H till 2024. In 2024, he joined as Consultant, Rheumatology at Fortis Hospital, Mall Road, Ludhiana where he was later promoted to Senior Consultant. He has more than 30 national and international publications in reputed journals to his name and has written 5 book chapters. He is also a reviewer for various rheumatology journals. He is a life member of Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA).
